"[Tut is] deliciously amazing, and just about everyone in the world should read it. "
Three thousand years ago, King Tut barely escaped Egypt with his life. Cast off the throne at the age of fourteen by his evil Uncle Horemheb, Tut fled Egypt, locking his uncle inside his tomb for all of eternity. But leave it to the gods to interfere. Tut and his uncle both were granted immortality, caught up in ages-old dispute between the gods.
Now, three thousand years later, if King Tut has to sit through eighth grade one more time, he may just mummify himself. But strange things begin happening in Washington, D.C. Obelisks are exploding. People are getting sick. And black mist covers everything—a sign of the curse placed on Tut’s tomb so long ago. Not only is the curse back, so is Uncle Horemheb, and he wants revenge.
Tut has only one chance to end the eternal battle with his uncle and stop the curse. He needs to find the sacred knife used by the evil god Set to kill his brother Osiris. But the knife is hidden, and Tut has no idea where it is.
With the help of his guardian, Gil, his new best friend, Henry, his one-eyed cat, Horus, and the mysterious new girl at school, Tia, Tut sets out on an epic adventure above and below Washington, D.C, searching for the knife. But so does his Uncle Horemheb, and Horemheb is backed by the Cult of Set, the most evil cult in existence. Whoever finds the knife first has the ability to destroy their adversary. But with the knife comes a price. Using it will invoke the wrath of the gods and destroy Tut. Tut needs to find a way to make everything right before he runs out of time.
Praise for TUT"There are mad Egyptian generals, evil gods, scarab hearts and romance. It's deliciously amazing, and just about everyone in the world should read it." —Katie Marciniak
